Sierra Leone has more than 2,000 known Ebola survivors, who have been celebrated as heroes all over the country. But once back in the community, they face the harsh reality of stigmatization. As a young boy and orphan, Sherrie Bangura used to live with his uncle, until he was discharged from the Ebola treatment center and he found that he wasn't welcome back in his own home. Inspired by strength and courage, he and a few other survivors have created "the Rescue Team," an association of Ebola survivors. The association already has more than 90 survivors from Port Loko district alone, the majority of whom are young adults.
Candle fires start small. The FDNY urges you to to follow these simple tips:
If you burn candles for any reason, make sure they are: Extinguished before you leave the room; NEVER left unattended; located at least 4 feet from anything that could catch fire, like curtains, decorations, blinds, and bedding; out of reach of small children and pets; not allowed in teens' or children's bedrooms; and extinguished and discarded when they burn within 2 inches of the holder.
When buying candles, make sure they are in a sturdy metal, glass, or ceramic candle holder; are not embedded combustible decorative items; and do not have a decorative or floral candle ring.
During power outages, DO NOT use candles for light when the power is out; instead, have flashlights and batteries available in your home and car and always carry a small light with you.

Many dental hygienists work in pain or know others suffering from musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), such as tendonitis, tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dental hygienists and their employers can prevent MSDs by paying attention to ergonomics. This means taking simple and practical steps to design or arrange the workplace for safe and efficient work. This first video in a five-video series provides an introduction to work-related MSDs and how to prevent them.
The video was produced by the Occupational Health Surveillance and Evaluation Program (http://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/ohsep) in the Occupational Health Branch of the California Department of Public Health. OHB partnered with the University of California, Berkeley, Ergonomics Program and the California Dental Hygienists' Association to create videos on ergonomics by and for dental hygienists.
