The Sensidyne SV 103 hand-arm vibration dosimeter incorporates a grip force sensor and is dedicated to the measurement of harmful vibration into a worker’s hands. The extra grip force sensor monitors how hard the worker is holding the handle of the tool to correlate vibration readings from the MEMS based triaxial accelerometer. The supervisor is able to see when the worker was really holding the tool handle correctly so that unrepresentative vibration readings can be eliminated.
