Mount Vernon FR has announced the release of its AMTEX TC flame resistant fabric. The AMTEX TC is a collection of cotton and Tencel blends created for total comfort, and the new line of clothing addresses the challenges of maximizing both comfort and protection in protective work wear fabrics. AMTEX TC fabrics are currently offered in 7.9-ounce and 8.4-ounce twill and are unique in that they increase both comfort and durability without sacrificing the protection demands of the FR industry. Despite their strengths, the fabrics feel lighter than they actually are.

Ergodyne
Workplace clothing and gear company Ergodyne has announced an update to their already existing group of GloWear® Hi-Visibility (Hi-Vis) Shirts. The have updated the design on two existing models and have also introduced seven new garments to the group. The Hi-Vis t-shirts and sweatshirts are comfortable, meet ANSI compliance requirements, can withstand a range of natural elements and most of all, eliminate the need for a shirt and a Hi-Vis vest by having an all-in-one garment. The shirts are compliant with ANSI 107 standards.

CarbonX MaxAir is the newest addition to TexTech Industries' CarbonX Aluminized Solutions product line. This innovative fabric combines the signature protective properties of CarbonX with maximum comfort and breathability. Its first-of-a-kind construction includes a non-woven felt as the non-flammable base fabric on which layers of hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers are added to repel and pull moisture away from the body. The moisture escapes through a unique perforated aluminum surface, creating a dramatic cooling effect. While the perforated holes are small enough to allow air permeation, they are not large enough to significantly impact the level of radiant heat and molten metal protection.

The MCR Safety New Woven DuPont Kevlar with Cut Level A9 Protection is a 93719MK ambidextrous 19” sleeve with a pleated elbow for greater flexibility, achieves an ANSI cut level A9 and a puncture level 3. The ANSI conductive heat rating is level 5, recommended for applications less than 608°F. The 93719MK includes a clip at the top to help keep the sleeve in place and the spandex/lycra wrist insert with thumbhole assists the sleeve to stay in place while wearing gloves.
